Mountfichet Castle

Monday 5th October Year Four went to Mountfichet Castle. It rained and rained and rained and we got a little wet, but that didn't dampen our spirits. We had fantastic day learning about a Norman village, soaking up the atmosphere and getting a good idea of the kind of place our historical story writing should take place in.  Here are some pictures from the day.

The entrance to the castle (Mr E took this picture on the Sunday before the trip when it was nice and sunny)

A typical house in the village, with no glass in the windows, thatched roof and a pig sty at one end.

It rained so much our worksheets got soaked.

Crime & Punishment

We fed some fallow deer.

We worked hard, had a great day, and no one was left behind!
